Bistro Express'o in Feldberg

We stood with the family and our mobile home on the pitch "in front of the door". Although the hosts don't actually offer a pick-up service, they have made an exception. What can I say. We have seldom eaten so delicious. On the first evening we ate the delicious tarte flambée. The next lunchtime, for our daughter's birthday, the Rösti dishes (1x with fresh vegetables and 1x with schnitzel) and the venison goulash with spaetzle. The whole family loved it. The term bistro is an understatement. Excellent German food is offered here with very friendly service. I recommend the hosts to offer a pick-up service, not only because of Corona but also because of the motorhome parking space. We like to eat with the children in the mobile home. And mobile home owners are always solvent.

This cozy bistro is a real secret tip. We are only there spontaneously at noon as it got very cold during our hiking tour. We received a very warm welcome and were put on the heating. After we warmed up with a goulash soup, we decided to go out to eat there in the evening. What can I say we weren't disappointed. The quality of the food is very, very good and the prices are very low. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Good German food rarely eaten so good and a lot. ???

Don't let the name influence it. Behind it is a terrific restaurant with the finest dishes. We ate and drank super well. The service is perfect and great at. This is the right place for anyone looking for excellent food.

Don't let the name fool you. The food and service are great and everything is really! I would recommend it everytime someone asks.

Nice restaurant at the starting point of the hiking trails. The service is very friendly, courteous but not intrusive. The food was delicious, good portions just right after a hike! Salad is fresh, the dishes are served on preheated plates. Until next time :)

Very good cuisine, reservations necessary. A pleasure in taste, not too expensive in terms of price. So balanced. Comfortable and nice inside, good seats also in the upper area.

A nice restaurant in the building of the train station. Comfortably furnished, from the terrace a wonderful view of the town of Falkau and the meadows all around. I can recommend delicious dishes, especially the hash browns and the tarte flambée. Good wine, wide range of drinks. Very inexpensive. Recommended for every hike in the vicinity; after dinner you can quickly take the train back to Titisee or Freiburg

I live in the area and I visit the Bistro Express'o every few months. Excellent cuisine, courteous service and ideal location! The only point of criticism that occurs to me: The offered Gutedel could be better. But that only gives 0.3 of 5 points deduction.

Impeccable in every way: warm welcome, quality of service, cuisine, everything with a view of the beautiful village of Altglashütten as a bonus when you sit on the terrace. We have always returned with the same joy for several years. You can come and go by train or just park your car or just walk to take a break during the hike. Hard to ask for more!

The bistro was recommended to us by the property and we were very satisfied. Inside very nicely decorated, nice staff and the food was ready quickly and delicious.

With attention to detail ... dishes are served on preheated plates. Rustic tarte flambée on wooden boards. Even the napkins are of high quality and do not consist of the typical cheap stuff. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. Then you notice again who does his work out of love and conviction. The 2 ladies who served today were the epitome of friendliness for me! Value for money more than good. I had to ask if everything was really on the bill ;-) I was amazed to get such a quality for such a price. Great service, quality and perfect ambience! Here you can cook with high quality food, which you can really taste. No criticism at all. 6 stars if it were possible.

Grate food at good prices and cosie atmosphere

Nice staff, good food (Rösti was yum!), cool ambience in the old train station. It was our third choice on a Sat night when other places were booked, but not disappointed. €100 for 4 people with drinks and a couple deserts, so very reasonable.

So in advance, please do not let the name "Bahnhof Express'o" irritate you. It has nothing at all to do with a train station bar. We (2 adults + 2 kids) went for dinner in the Expresso. The ambiance is very nice and stylish. Not bald and not over decorated. The furniture is relatively new and fits in the restaurant. We were welcomed very warmly and brought to our reserved table. The Speissekarte is clear and not crowded. We ordered tomato soup and pumpkin soup as an appetizer. There was bread for the soups. Both soups were very tasty and freshly prepared. As main course we ordered "Linguine with chanterelle sauce with chanterelles" and "Turkey steak with goat cheese sauce on linguine with diced tomatoes and basil pesto". So I have to say the two dishes were tasty and pictorial top. The turkey steak was a precision landing and the linguine (almonds) al dente. The cook knows what he is doing. The kids took breaded schnitzel with spaetzle. The Schnitzel was well prepared, only with the Spätzle my kids prefer cooked instead of in the pan made Spätzle. But they were ok in terms of taste. Dessert was of course also ordered :-) There was chocolate cake with warm liquid chocolate, vanilla ice cream and cream. Since my daughter does not like cream this was just left out. The chocolate cake was also delicious. You can not go wrong with my sundae :-) As we were unfortunately only on the last evening in the station Expresso, we did not regret the possibility there again to eat. Too bad. If you are in the vicinity should definitely eat there. But please reserve because the restaurant is not too big and therefore has only few tables.
